Pilgrim Software Appoints CTO

Tampa, Fla.-based Pilgrim Software Inc. has named Stanley Curtis its new chief technology officer (CTO) and senior vice president of software engineering.

Curtis has more than 20 years of experience overseeing the development of enterprise software and hardware solutions for diverse high-tech companies including those in healthcare-related industries. Pilgrim is charging Curtis with expanding the company’s product offerings in the coming years.

The company provides products that help life sciences companies meet their quality, regulatory, and compliance needs. One of its most recent products released was Complaint Management, an integrated component of Pilgrim’s Smartsolve solution suite, designed to make it easier for pharmaceutical and medical device organizations to expand into new countries by providing them intelligence regarding global complaint management requirements. The software combines product market approval information with country-specific regulatory reporting requirements to determine global adverse event reportability. Depending on the country of expansion, Complaint Management is intended to leverage pre-built or user-configured decision trees to ensure the right documents are being submitted to the appropriate global regulatory body.

Prior to joining Pilgrim, Curtis led the development of enterprise clinical and revenue cycle software for homecare and hospice as vice president of development at McKesson Provider Technologies in Springfield, Mo. He also was vice president of engineering for Kronos, a workforce management solutions company based in Chelmsford, Mass. Most recently, Curtis was senior vice president of product development at MTS Medication Technologies in St. Petersburg, Fla., where he developed automated medication adherence systems for institutional and retail pharmacies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., and attended the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute at Stanford University in California.
